Bio Ethanol Facility

The Red River Biorefinery is an Ethanol plant designed to process multiple feedstocks and has a guaranteed nameplate capacity of 16.5 million gallons per year of denatured, ASTM spec ethanol.   The Ethanol is produced from various waste feedstocks including Sugar Beet tailings, potato waste, pea starch, macaroni, and other waste products.  It has a very low carbon footprint and is currently in startup.

Advance Waste Sorting

The Facility is designed to process an approximately 150,000 tons per year of MSW over one shift.  The Facility can process up to approximately 180,000 tons per year by adding an additional shift.  The facility uses anaerobic digestion (AD) to produce biogas and convert organic materials resulting from the sorting and washing processes that are being used in the Facility.  

Implemented PMO

Led the implementation of a world class project management organization (PMO) which included people training, process and procedure development and tools. In this role, we trained over 160 people,  implemented cost, schedule, progress (earned value), risk, safety and quality systems. The role also consisted of internal project health checks and implementation of a corporate wide KPI reporting / analysis system.

H&C  was established in 2018 to provide Project Management Consulting services to a diverse client base.  Having a wide industry experience allows flexibility and scalability in assisting owners from program management of multiple projects, independent reviews/opinions,  owners representative, and any other project management needs as required. 

Need an independant 3rd party to opine on your project?

Independent reviews with a focus on risk management is an area where H&C brings extensive experience in facilitating and helping clients identify and manage risk.  H&C’s belief is risk management is an ongoing process and not an event once a quarter to address.  Independent reviews include analysis and development of heat maps, risk registers, Monte Carlo analysis, mitigation plans, and prioritization of risks  The most important part of the process is to develop an achievable and frequently updated mitigation strategy/plan unique to each project.

The unfortunate truth is that the legal system has to be employed on under performing entities from time to time.  H&C’s strategy is to eliminate/reduce the risk by managing and/or recognizing the event(s) as early as possible and helping clients manage through them vs engaging in legal entanglements.  If claims or other legal action is employed H&C has capability/experience to provide consulting support in developing or defending claims in the Engineering Procurement and Construction industry.
